Constructing Blues Solos

Most guitarists write Blues solos by ear. This is a tedious trial and error method which limits the writer to the conventional Blue notes used by other players.
Once you have studied the way the top players go about constructing Blues solos you will discover there are many other approaches that can be applied to write great solos yet be totally original.  

The Complete Bluesman video covered standard Blues riffs chords/progressions and using the Blues scale/riffs to develop improvisation.

The Blues Soloing video covered soloing in A -soloing in E and soloing in A minor with detailed breakdowns of the solos.

This video is about tackling the many types of Blues chord progressions you will encounter as a Lead Guitarist. 
You will learn how to think when planning these solos and the many tools that are available to embellish your solos.
Please note this course is designed for anyone, beginner - intermediate.

One trap many guitarists fall into is to apply the Blues scale and standard riffs to every type of Blues chord progression only to find it doesn't always work. 

If there are other chords in the progression such as minors or substitute chords etc you need to know how to alter the Blues scale/riffs to tackle these chords.

It would be so easy if every Blues solo was based on the 1-4-5 progression but unfortunately this is not so.

The course starts off with the basic 12 bar then each successive progression is technically more demanding and with a different feel/timing.

The last of the six solo's is played over an authentic Blues chord progression containing substitution chords and enough problems to make any pro-guitarist sweat
